Once again, I would like to thank all those responsible for the existence of the
Hach Scholarship, as it has greatly influenced my life for the good. With it, I am able to obtain all of my school necessities (which can be very costly). The scholarship gives me the chance to work fewer hours a week, so that I can better focus on my studies. I have enjoyed learning new things, especially those pertaining to my major. I am especially grateful it was extended to me as a fifth-year student. It has enabled me to continue into my fifth year here at the University of Wyoming in order to meet the more strict requirements of the ACS Chemistry degree and pursue a second degree in Biology. I know that I can contribute my success so far at the University of Wyoming in part to the
Hach Scholarship. Because how I perform at the University of Wyoming and throughout the rest of my education will greatly affect the rest of my life, this scholarship has already had a positive effect on both my academic career and my life. I will be forever grateful for the many opportunities the Hach Scholarship has opened up to me. I will continue to strive for academic excellence and make the most of these opportunities.

The Hach Scholarship has made a difference in my academic career. It has allowed me to focus more on my studies. Rather than having to worry about finding a job to finance my living expenses, the Hach scholarship has let me study during the time that I would be working. This not only has helped my career development thus far, but it has also lowered my stress level. For me, being able to spend more time studying and being able to maintain a lower stress level has been an extraordinary benefit. I greatly appreciate this scholarship.

The scholarship given to me by the Hach Foundation has impacted my life
greatly. They gave me the opportunity to pursue my goal of achieving a degree in Chemistry by allowing me to go to school full-time. Going back to school is not always an easy transition, but with the scholarship I was able to concentrate on my studies and be a successful student. I received my Associate's degree in Chemistry in May 2006 which made me the first person in my family to receive a college degree. Being a recipient of such a wonderful scholarship has helped me focus on my academics even more since I became a Resident Advisor for the University of Wyoming.
My life has changed since I was given this scholarship. As I
mentioned before, in May 2006 I became the first one in my family
to graduate from college and now I'm continuing even further and
getting a Bachelor's degree. Many doors were opened for me with
this scholarship through LCCC. I was able to participate in a
research project and tour the local schools in Cheyenne, teaching the
students about Chemistry. I also had the opportunity to gain hands-
on experience with the many lab instruments used at the college.
When I graduate, I will have the necessary skills to perform my job
successfully. All of this was made possible by the Hach
Foundation's interest in the cChemistry Education.

Receiving this scholarship was a great honor, and was extremely helpful to my family financially. I feel like I was able to take a lot of stress off my parents by receiving this award, and also feel proud to say that I am, in a way, paying for my own education. No family is ever financially prepared for college, and I'm glad that someone found me worthy of their assistance in
paying for my higher education. Chemistry has been an interest in my life for the past couple years, and my curiosity in the subject only continues to grow. I look forward to continuing my education in graduate school as I work towards a higher degree in the environmental chemistry field. The help that I am receiving from these scholarships has tremendously encouraged me to pursue this goal, and will continue to do so in the future.

This scholarship is making a difference in my academic career by allowing me to
he school of my choosing, and study without significant concerns about paying
for tuition or fees. Without this scholarship I would be forced to take out more loans, and work more, which would not only negatively affect my academic performance, but would also take away time from other activities, which really make the college experience great. I really enjoy rock climbing and other outdoor activities, so this scholarship allows me to succeed in school, as well as have time to pursue those activities. I am very thankful for the opportunities this scholarship has provided, and I will use this opportunity to make the most of my education at the University of Wyoming.

This scholarship has allowed me to go to school and not have to worry about
working. I have been able to focus on my school work instead of work. If I had not had it I definitely would not have been able to graduate in 4 years (I will graduate in May 2008). Currently I am finishing my classes and next semester I will be doing my student teaching at Laramie High School.

The Hach Scientific Foundation Chemistry Teacher's Scholarship is making a
huge difference in my experience here at the University of Wyoming. It has not only helped my parents out financially, but it has changed the way I am able to focus on school. By supporting me financially, this scholarship has provided me with the opportunity to maintain a very high GPA, as well as participate in multitudes of activities such as swimming, swing dancing, and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. I have had a great experience here at UW and I am very excited to be entering my student teaching next semester, and the entire process has been much less stressful because of this scholarship.
Thank you to the Hach Scientific Foundation for providing me with the many
opportunities I have had here at the University of Wyoming.

This scholarship has meant a lot to me through the first three years of my college career and now means so much more in my fourth year. It means a lot more to me now because I got married over the summer and it is not only helping fund my college expenses but my wife's tuition.
I've really enjoyed having this scholarship over the last four years as it has helped to push me academically. I want to show the Hach family how much I care for the scholarship and I try to do this by working hard and performing well in my classes. I know that my grades and overall enjoyment over these four years has been directly related to the Hach Scholarship.

I am the first in my family to not only attend college but to graduate high school. This scholarship is one of the reasons I can afford to go to school. Without your help I would be so far in debt I would spend time well into my thirties trying to pay it off. Having the money you provide allows me to not worry about how much money I owe the school, this in turn provides me a stress free environment in which I can succeed academically.
Chemistry is my true calling. However teaching chemistry will allow me to give
the gift of knowledge to others. Only through teachers can we continue human society. Teachers are the fighting front to tomorrow's diseases and ailments. Teachers are the real force in the world today, because without them we would still be in the dark ages.

The Clifford C. Hach Memorial Scholarship has been highly influential in my
as a chemistry student at the University of Wyoming. Because my tuition is
almost entirely covered by this award, I have not had to work long hours at a job to support myself, and have instead been able to focus all of my efforts on becoming the best student that I can be. This freedom to spend more time studying has led to my 3.8 GPA as well as being named Outstanding Freshman Chemistry Major of the Year. Since receiving this scholarship, the additional support that the Hach Foundation has provided to me has been critical in my career development as well. The Hach Lecture at UW in the fall last year sparked my interest in research early in my first year at the University, and it was at the Hach Banquet in Fort Collins later in the semester, through conversation with professors, that I found out about the Research Experience for
Undergraduates that was to take place at UW this summer. I researched in an organic chemistry laboratory for ten weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the challenging environment.

My academic career has improved because I no longer have to be concerned with
providing for school in order to continue. I have a choice to work or volunteer depending on my academic schedule. My schedule is much more open to be able to study and effectively learn the material. It allows me to prepare for graduate school by building a resume of good academics and work ethic and experience. Receiving this scholarship has given me extra motivation to better myself and not just settle for mediocre. It has pushed me to accomplish more and prove that I can do anything I put my mind to. I have always wanted to prove that the Hach Scientific Foundation has picked the right person through academics, but also the traits of a good person or scholar. This helps motivate me to
strive for what was originally the unobtainable because I do not want to let them, my family, or myself down.

This scholarship is allowing me to pursue my interests during my undergraduate education and beyond. Without this scholarship, I would be unable to take the classes that I am taking and pursue a medical career. My ambitions to go to medical school would be out of reach if it weren't for this scholarship.
My life has always revolved around school and doing everything within my reach to achieve my goal of becoming a doctor. With this scholarship, I am able to focus on achieving my goals. I am able to take more classes in the sciences and particularly chemistry. Thank you for allowing me to pursue my dream of working in the medical field. I truly appreciate the opportunity that the Hach Foundation has given me and I am looking forward to my future in chemistry and medicine.
