I was raised in Wilmar, MN, and moved to Minneapolis to attend Dunwoody University. There I received my Associated Degree in Architectural Drafting Design and Estimating. After working full time for a year, I moved to Fargo to attend North Dakota State University. Originally, my major was Architecture. I changed to Chemistry Education in the fall of 2004. I have been in Chemistry Education ever since and enjoy the experience.

Kim Westendorf
My name is Kim Westendorf and I am going into my third year of college and majoring in chemistry education. I want to be a high school chemistry teacher and I also want to coach high school softball. I am from the city of Mankato, MN, I play softball at NDSU and enjoy that very much. I sadly only have one year left of eligibility to play. I enjoy working with high school age kids, and get to do so in the summer when I give softball pitching lessons to local youth athletes. My joy for this has made me want to pursue a career in working with high school age kids.
