Jonathan Freed
My name is Jonathan Freed. I'm a senior at Central College. I am currently student teaching at Prairie City Monroe in Monroe, Iowa. I am teaching chemistry, physical science, and biology. I am endorse to teach these areas as well. I hope to teach high school science after I am done at Central in December. I grew up in the southwest Iowa town of Shenandoah. I graduated from Shenandoah High School in 2004. My love for science has only grown through my college experiences. I want to pass that love of science on to my future students.

Renee Koestler
My name is Renee Koestler and I am a sophomore at Central College. I grew up in rural Polk County and graduated from Southeast Polk Senior High School. I am majoring in Chemistry and planning on getting my secondary education endorsement. This year I am working with one of my professors on a research project. I also participate in Theater Central and am working on a music minor.

Lisa Patty
My name is Lisa Patty and I'm a senior at Central College in Pella, Iowa. I grew up in the small town of Newton, Iowa, which is only half an hour away from Pella. I'm completing a chemistry major and biology endorsement at Central, as well as obtaining my secondary education endorsement. Right now I'm completing one last semester of classes, then I student teach! I want to become a high school science teacher because I love science so much and I feel that as a teacher I can help others to love it, too! While at Central, I'm vice president of Common Ground, the campus GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) club as well as participate in the Central chapter of Amnesty International. I also spent a semester in London through Central's study abroad program learning about other cultures and seeing the United States from a worldly perspective. All of the things I have been able to participate in would not have been presented to me with the same excellence at any other school but Central.
