the mission of the Hach Scientific Foundation is to foster and support science and science education, and to make evident the interdependence between science education and the public. The Foundation believes strongly in the sciences and intends to support appropriate endeavors that encourage the youth of American to engage in a positive exploration of the sciences. Working with students from levels that span from Kindergarten to PhDs, the Hach Scientific Foundation utilizes both scholarships and a variety of outreach programs to help develop and sustain interests in the sciences.

Science education is a uniquely important national service. Many great scientists enjoyed formative experiences through an influential chemistry teacher.
